Shiny Sink Philosophy

This week I'm going to try and keep a shiny sink. I've been reading and it seems a shiny sink can help one have a better day and become more inclined to keep a tidy house. I've been slacking a bit lately. I'll let you know how it goes. So far my shiny sink makes my heart sing. To read more about keeping a shiny sink and keeping your house tidy, click here.

I am a big fan of the shiny sink. Although I admit to daydreaming about one day having a dark enamel sink that doesn't need to be cleaned so much.

What do you use to clean your sink? I have found that baking soda works wonderfully for removing stains and general cleaning. Plus, you have the added benefit of not using harsh chemicals.

I sprinkle a generous amount on the bottom of the sink, while it is damp, and do some initial scrubbing. Then I add a little more water to make a runny paste, and scrub that all over the sink. Rinse well (a sprayer is immensely handy at this point). And NOW, I'm going to start shining my sink with olive oil. What a fabulous, all natural, idea!
